In the history of planet earth, only Jesus Christ has demonstrated power over death.
All others have died, including great religious leaders such as Moses, Buddha, and Muhammad.
Jesus shocked his generation by claiming death had no power over him.
He told his followers that he is “the resurrection and the life.”
Jesus demonstrated his power over death by bringing Lazarus back to life four days after he had been buried.
But even more dramatic was Jesus’ own resurrection, one that he had predicted would occur three days after his death.
No one really believed him, not even his closest followers.
As Jesus hung dying on the cross, many of his disciples fled, thinking they would be next.
But three days later, they shouted to the world that Jesus had defeated death.
It is impossible to explain their change of behavior and the sudden explosion of Christianity without the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
